COVID-19: Operational Status
May 11, 2020
Dear Valued Customer,
As you know, COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been declared a pandemic and a public health emergency. The situation remains serious globally, in the US, and particularly in Michigan. In fact, effective near the end of March, Governor Whitmer of the State of Michigan issued Executive Order No. 2020-21, restricting business activities that do not qualify under an exemption to the Executive Order. Since that time, the order has been extended and modified to a longer period of time and remains in place. Various states, counties, and cities have also issued stay at home orders. This pandemic has placed all businesses, including auto, truck, rail and aerospace suppliers like Flexfab, in extremely difficult circumstances.
The health and safety of our team members and supporting our customers and suppliers continue to be our top priorities. While Flexfab does have the ability to operate under current Executive Order No. 2020-77, which may be extended through revision or replacement, there are still restrictions governing in-person work. We also need to respect the health and safety concerns of our employees and those of our suppliers. Even though the pandemic and stay-at-home orders are not the fault of Flexfab, we are making every effort to address the needs of all constituencies, while at the same time complying with government mandates.
Even with these circumstances, Flexfab is doing all we can to fulfill our customer requirements. We have recently been able to resume full operational status, but are still experiencing extended lead times and late deliveries. Flexfab is diligently addressing customer needs in a fair and reasonable manner. As we are able, we are sharing the expected impact on you, including orders which will be delayed. Any information you can provide with respect to your current operations and priority needs will be crucial to Flexfab in our on-going assessment. Thank you in advance for any such information.
